How I Work

Working Together

I live in South Pasadena, California, in the San Gabriel Valley just a few miles east of downtown Los Angeles. For students who live within a 30 mile range, I am available to come to your home or else we can work in my at-home writing studio. Most students prefer to meet with me in my studio. For those living within an hour’s drive, often many prefer to meet with me once, and then work with me through emails, phone calls, Skype, or facetiming. I also coach students from all over the country and in foreign countries primarily through emails.

I charge a flat hourly fee of $100. Compared to many college consultant packages and services available today, this is a reasonable and cost-efficient pricing system. I charge for all time spent working on essays, whether I am meeting with a student in person to discuss or work on the essays or editing the essays. I do not charge for questions via email or phone calls. I work efficiently, effectively, and am mindful of a family’s budget. The average amount of hours a student spends with me is between three to six hours, but it can run more depending on how many essays a student needs edited.

I am always supportive of my students and am their number one cheerleader and motivator. I will always give each essay - and student - 100 percent of my focus and energy. All students deserve my best, and deserve to write the best possible essays to increase their chance of getting into their colleges of choice.
